There are millions of great inventions in our world. It’s hard to determine which inventions I’d like to un-invent, from a calculator to video games. The question should be more of reinventing some of our greatest inventions rather than un-inventing.

At the top of my list would probably be social media. Social media has changed us in many different ways. Kids don’t go outside as much, they are more social online while playing video games or watching mind numbing videos. This new generation of technology with social media has really changed the way we interact with each other.

A perfect example of this would be recently well I was at a family gathering for dinner. I took a few moments away from my phone. I looked up and saw 20 people all looking at their phones. No one was talking to each other. No one was interacting with each other. They were all looking up their social media.

The Cons

Social media is bad for our social interaction. Social media has changed the way we interact with other people socially. Now, you can meet somebody online in a game room. You can also meet in a chat room without ever having to see their face. You can also sit in the same room.

A friend or other family member sitting on the other side of the room playing the same game. Not one word is said. Not one laugh is shared. People don’t share verbal consent communication about the day’s event. There isn’t one irritating look because the other person just beat you.

The Pros

Then there’s the good side of social media. Staying connected with loved ones who live miles away. For businesses who are trying to communicate their products or services and clients to share their experiences with those businesses.

People who want to share their experiences as they travel around the world. These travelers have people like you to experience something on their bucket list that you never thought was even possible.

Travel offers more than just an escape from the daily grind. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in new adventures. You meet interesting people, and you create unforgettable memories. Each destination has its unique charm and story, waiting for YOU.
